Where We Are
You'll find Tanah Mympi in the Telo Islands, a remote island group off the west coast of Sumatra. Most journeys start with a flight into Padang, our gateway city, followed by the final leg to the island by boat or charter flight.
The Route
International flights route into Padang via Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta. From there, you'll arrange your own overnight accommodation in Padang, and we'll pick you up in the morning to continue on to Tanah Mympi.
Getting There
Your day of adventure begins with a morning pick-up and a choice of two ways to reach Tanah Mympi.
Recommended – By Air: Chauffeured transfer to Padang Domestic Airport for a scenic 55-minute charter flight with Susi Air to Lusandre Airport, Telo Islands. Resort staff will greet you on arrival and whisk you by speedboat straight to Tanah Mympi — the fastest, most comfortable way to start your trip.
Crossing – By Sea: Chauffeured to Padang Harbour to board our fast boat for the ocean crossing to Tanah Mympi. This can be a great experience when the weather is good, but please note that conditions at sea are unpredictable — bad weather can increase crossing times significantly and make the ride uncomfortable. On a good day, the crossing takes a minimum of 6 hours; on a rough day, up to 12. Food and drinks are provided on board throughout the journey. Our boats are state-of-the-art and genuinely comfortable, though a longer crossing can still be an arduous journey. Rest assured, we're a safety-first operation: if conditions are ever deemed unsafe for speedboat travel, our Padang team will work with you to arrange alternative options.

As onward transport departs early the next morning, you'll spend the night in Padang before continuing to Tanah Mympi. We're happy to recommend a few places we love, though we leave the booking to you.
